Catherine Whall Smith . . . enjoys driving the back roads of Connecticut

Sunday, July 7th on my way to the Mystic Museum of Art in Mystic, CT I can across this,

I was eager to get to the “drop-off” in Mystic, so on my way home to Chaplin, CT I stopped on the side of the road to take a picture of “Bunny with Sun Glasses”.  I’m not sure if this image will make it’s way into one of my “Marshmallow” wall hangings, but the person who created this “installation” is certainly noteworthy.  That person has found a way to connect to the drive-bys.  Isn’t that what art does.

So if you are looking for art that makes a connection to you why not head down to MMOA. The Member’s & Elected Artist Exhibition is on view from July 12th – August 17th, 2019. Opening Reception Thursday, July 18th 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.  My piece “Blue Bloods” . . Transformation #8 (shown below) has been included in this show.

For some information on the process in creating my piece check out this post; https://catherinewhallsmith.com/2019/02/14/catherine-whall-smith-is-sharing-an-update-on-transformation-blue-blood/

Note: “The Bunny with Sun Glasses” is waiting for you at a farm in Ledyard, CT on Rte 117.  Enjoy the drive!
