So ONE WEEK before Christmas 2014 and the “Bathroom Remodel” is almost done – just a few minor things like installing the toilet, sink, and fittings. The whole process has been a learning experience – similar to how I create my quilts. THE PROCESS IS ALWAYS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE – each piece informs the next. And, I am happy to report that Carol Eaton was excited to get started on my request to create a piece of fabric that has the feel and look of old wood. She painted, stamped, stained and used dye pencil to create the desired results. I will be using this fabric in some new works – inspired by the old lath that was exposed when we gutted the bathroom. Her blog post tells it all “Channeling Old Wood!” http://carolreatondesigns.blogspot.com/2014/12/channeling-old-wood.html. And, to answer the question “Fresh” or “Frozen” – the “Fresh” cooked turkey was the winner. So Thanksgiving 2015 will be easy – buy the freshest turkey – but now I wonder – Local or Imported?? I think I have plenty of time to think that one through – but like this Christmas – it just sneaks up on you. Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Holiday filled with blessings and good cheer!
Catherine Whall Smith . . . asks the question – Can it really be one week before Christmas?
