Catherine Whall Smith is thinking “Green”

Catherine is thinking “green” and “what you see is what you get”.  My quilts reflect my surroundings is a phrase that I use often due to the fact that my photo images of  local scenes are used in my art.  Like these images that are in one of my 2014 pieces titled “Balancing Acts”.

But more importantly I have to think that the color in the fabrics that I use in my hand-stitched art are influenced by what I “see” around me .

    I am soooo ready for spring! What a lovely space you have – I can see how it influences your work. I too am influenced by my surroundings and look forward to some green with a pop of color!
