Once again, I have submitted a 12 x 12 inch piece for the annual online SAQA 2013 Benefit Auction which begins on Monday, September 9th at 2:00 PM Eastern Time and concludes on Sunday, September 29 at 2:00 PM Eastern. As we get closer to that date I will post the website and more information about the auction. But briefly, the amazing pieces of fiber art start out at a bid of $750 and then each day the remaining pieces are offered for less until the end price of $75. Note: The SAQA 2013 Benefit Auction quilts will be available for posting on Pinterest for the first time this year.
Titled “Sticking Together” my piece pairs one of my digital images of the “marshmallows” with a rectangular section of graffiti that states Peace, Love along with drawings of flowers.
This piece is part of my on-going Views Series – country and city. So what is your view today – I hope it is an inspiring one!
What a sweet piece! Did you make the flowered fabric?
Thank you for your comment. Yes, the image with the flowers is a photo by B. Raymond that I transferred to fabric.
