It’s that time of year again – enter shows, drop-off, pick-up, attend openings and meet up with fellow artists. On Thursday May 4th, I will head to the New Britain Museum of American Art to attend the preview party for the artists that have pieces in the 17th annual Spring Gala and the Art Party of the Year to be held on May 6th. My donation #17 – “Tying Up the Hay #10″. Media: Fiber will be up for auction. To preview, pre-bid, or set your maximum bid on the items in the auction, visit http://www.artpartyoftheyear.org
On Friday, May 5th, I will head down to the Artist Cooperative Gallery of Westerly, R. I. for the 2017 Regional Art Exhibit Opening from 5 – 8 p.m. Three of my pieces have been juried into this show: Hay For Sale which incorporates the image shown below in the piece: Tying Up the Hay #7, and Tying up the Hay #12.
The next big event to watch for is the Windham Textile and History Museum’s Textile Duo Days on June 10th and 17th in conjunction with “Locally Inspired” a month long quilt show at the museum. I think my motto is just “Keep on Moving”!
