“Presently, the quilts that I create are influenced by my rural surroundings. Everyday activities are being incorporated into my art. My photos that record the cutting of hay fields being prepared to be rolled and packaged in white plastic and stacked like sculptures are now part of the visual images that make a statement about the seasonal changes that occur around me.”

Opening Reception, July 2nd, from 6 to 8 p.m. This year’s annual exhibition showcases a talented group of artists of all mediums from Connecticut and surrounding states. “Hay . . . Leave me Alone” was juried into this show. Jurors: Mark Patnode, Griffis Art Center, New London, CT and Jaclyn Conley, Asst. Professor, Hartford Art School, University of Hartford.
