PLACE: Dugan Mill @ The Windham Textile & History Museum, Willimantic CT    Join Chaplin resident Catherine Smith as she shares her on-going research of “The Quilt Lady” one of Connecticut’s most prolific quilters, Ruth Snow Bowen.  On view will be Ruth’s #269 quilt – “Grandmother’s Flower Garden”.  Ruth Snow Bowen (1/4/1895 – 10/10/1983) lived next to Smith at 42 Chaplin St.  In addition find out what Ruth’s family did on a daily basis as recorded or “tweeted” by her mother,  Laura M. Snow in a series of diaries. (January 1, 1934 – December 31, 1938).  Please bring any items, quilts, and interesting facts that you may have related to Ruth Snow Bowen or other Chaplin and Connecticut Quilters.    Please share your quilt stories!

NOTE:  Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 is the CT State Wide “Hang a Quilt Day”!
