One week until the Opening – and did I mention a portion of the sale of my art will be donated . .

You are invited to the opening of three exhibits at the University of Connecticut Libraries on Sunday, July 29th, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. in the Thomas Dodd Research Center and the Homer Babbidge Library – Stevens Gallery.  View Workers at Play: Photographs of Baseball Leagues, Basketball Competitions and Company Picnics – Curator: Kyle Lynes and Laura Smith;  Natura Morta:  Cabinet Curiosities: Photographs by Daniel Mosher Long; and Line Dances: Quilts by Catherine Whall Smith.

The exhibits run through October 19.  http://lib.uconn.edu/about/exhibits/ Hours for the Babbidge Library are Monday-Thursday, 8am-9pm, Friday, 8am-5pm, Saturday, 10am-5pm, Sunday 12-5 pm.  Hours for the Dodd Center are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.

Please note:  If you wish to purchase any of the quilts on display, please contact Catherine Smith at (860) 455-0270, smith.catherine62@gmail.com or P. O. Box 303, Chaplin, CT 06235.  A portion of the purchase price will be equally divided and donated to the University Libraries to support the exhibits program and the Steven J. Smith Scholarship to benefit a student in one of the Neag School of Education’s Kinesiology Programs.   This scholarship has been awarded yearly since 2007.
